K.D Bwalya, Managing Director
Kangwa has over 25 years of experience and has held several senior leadership positions both locally and internationally. He previously worked for ZAMEFA in various senior positions including Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary. At the time of his departure in 2011, Kangwa was serving as Acting Managing Director.
Internationally, Kangwa served as CFO for the Asia Pacific region of General Cable Corporation, among others. He holds an MBA from the University of Essex, UK, and a B.Acc from the Copperbelt University (Zambia). Kangwa is also a Fellow of both the ACCA (UK) and the ZICA (Zambia). He was appointed Managing Director of ZAMEFA and Executive Director on the ZAMEFA Board effective 14 September 2021. Immediately prior to this appointment, Kangwa was the Managing Director for ZAFFICO PLC.
Laurence Braithwaite, Plant Manager
Laurence Braithwaite is an accomplished General Manager with more over 30 years’ experience and knowledge in the Cable Industry spanning from September 1990. He has progressed through various positions starting his career as a process engineer and adjusting his path into production and operations.
Laurence holds an Engineering Diploma and an advanced Business Management Diploma, skilled in various world class manufacturing techniques such as; Operations Management, Lean 6 sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Visual Management, and Continuous Improvement.
L. Du Preez, Business Development Manager | Africa Operations
Louis has worked in the cable energy sector for more than 30 years from LV to EHV on various product solutions. Head up the Commercial division for major blue chip companies in South Africa and the Middle East.
He believes in high ethical values and people skills, which will continue in the future to serve people, infrastructure and investments with high quality products and service in a safe environment.
G.J.H Steyn, Strategy & Integration Manager | African Operations
Johan completed his articles with KPMG and left as an audit supervisor to join ATC (Proprietary) Limited. After working on various tasks and capacities, Johann was appointed as Divisional Director Finance of the company and subsequently appointed as Head of Internal Audit of Reunert Limited.
At the end of 2008 Johan was appointed as Financial Director of CBi Electric: African Cables, a division of ATC (Proprietary) Limited.
On 26 August 2016, Johan was appointed Head of Administration- Africa Operations and Executive Director on the ZAMEFA Board.
G. Bracho, Plant Manager
Electrical Engineer from Instituto Universitario Politécnico de las Fuerzas Armadas Nacionales (IUPFAN – Venezuela) with more than 25 years of experience in the wire and cables industry in different countries namely Venezuela, Panamá, New Zealand, South Africa and Zambia.
During this period he has occupied different positions, starting as Design Engineer, Process Engineer, Technical Manager, and Operations Managerial positions in the last 20 years.
E. Mangoni, Financial Controller
Emmanuel Mangoni began his professional career in 2003 at Deloitte and Touché immediately after he completed his Bachelor of Accountancy degree at the Copperbelt University. In 2005 he moved to join Industrial Credit Company as an Accountant and served in that capacity until 2007 when he took the decision to join Metal Fabricators of Zambia Plc as projects accountant.
He has risen through the ranks and served as finance manager and finally as financial controller. He is a member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
S. Sikombe, Human Resources Manager
Stephen Sikombe is a seasoned Human Capital Practitioner and Consultant with over 30 years work experience, with the last 15 years served at top executive and Board-Level.
He is a Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management and holds a Master’s Degree MBA in Organizational Leadership from University of Zambia, Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with major in Business & Economics and a postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management
